I have always had a passion for singing. I was never a shy one to jump up and be ready to perform in a single moment’s time. That love for singing can never be replaced in my heart.
Along with my performing, I have had the great opportunity to direct and music direct many amazing shows across the Phoenix Valley with Hale Centre Theatre, Actor's Youth Theatre, and Mountain View High School Theatre. I am the Resident Music Director at Hale Centre Theatre for their Children's Series Musicals.
I have also competed across the valley in state singing competitions. I am grateful to have received 1st Place in the NATS Musical Theater Competition in 2007 and 2008, and placed 2nd in the 2005 competition. I also had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at a 2007 Phoenix Mercury WNBA game.
In the summer of 2007, I had the great experience of traveling to New York City and working with such Broadway composers as: Jason Robert Brown (Broadway’s Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, and 13.) and Larry O’ Keefe (Broadway’s Legally Blonde the Musical). And Broadway actors such as Jodie Langel, Jose Llana, Sarah Saltzberg and Hollie Howard.
I am also currently studying Musical Theatre Performance at Arizona State University under the voice coaching of Judy May, obtaining my Bachelor of Fine Arts.
I have been studying the Speech Level Singing Technique since 2005, and have gained a great love for the technique. I began teaching voice in January of 2008, and became a Certified SLS teacher in January of 2011, and have loved every moment of it. There is an exhilarating and exciting feeling I get from seeing each of my students excel in their singing abilities. I love working with students, young and old, achieve their goals of musical greatness through the technique and lessons I teach them. I have a strong passion for teaching and performing, and plan to enhance my abilities throughout my entire career.
